President and founder of Madoa Mining; Phillip, is a strategic land acquisition, high level negotiations and day to day operations specialist.

 

With a long history in the natural resources industry, Phillip has more than 15 years operational experience in several African countries with high level negotiating skills that have concluded several successful negotiations for oil and gas concessions in Africa.

Phillip was a co-founder of oil and gas exploration company, Rhino Resources Ltd. which under his management acquired more than 90,000km2 or 22 million acres of onshore and offshore exploration rights over 5 countries in Africa with multi-billion barrel potential.

Phillip is a member of natural resources industry organizations, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME)

 

Mr. Steyn is an avid outdoorsman and speaks fluent Kiswahili.
